I am blessed not only with good people, but the best food. West Peak farm Supplied me with some amazing Hogget/Mutton again. Seriously curries and Tagines, will not find a better meat to match the spices. A stew or Lancashire Hot Pot will be the best. Lancashire Hot pot is in the pipeline for a post.
If you visit Ermington Sustainable Market you will also meet John Watson, an amazing person. His produce is also amazing. In fact his rainbow chard is in my top ten foods. I matched this with Pipers Farm pork chop, locally scrumped apple and some Shillingford Farm organic squash . Simple enough, but the produce is so good, not much else is needed. Italian food wins big time, by adopting this approach.
Ermington Sustainable, Its not Just The Produce, superb people, very welcoming. They are in it for reasons other than just money. So prices are good quality is high.
British Apples are the best in the world see the link bellow. Pick some before they are all gone.
I have also realised that coriander is not just for spicy food, salads love it. It pairs well with apple, so that’s what I matched it with here, just a little butter coriander in the frying pan and on to the chop.
