Lucy Rose “No Words Left”
Pleased to hear Lucy’s new album live at Rough Trade. A great album as expected.
No drums, superb bass (fretless) and strings. Honest as ever, hauntingly beautiful. A proper album.
Great to hear music being used in the way Lucy has with this album. Subjects that are close to my heart. One song made me loose sleep a bit, previous long term relationship. Lucy’s music has helped me a lot with stressful times
Some great Interviews with real wordsmiths better than I

Strongest album to date, I think the Union Chapel gig will suit the new material very well. One of my favourite artists in one of my favourite venues.
Thank you Lucy and all involved!

Amazing music again from Berlin. via Tel Aviv
Moscoman vs Red Axes (Both Tel Aviv legends)
Moscomans set on Pete Tong was superb!!!!

And here is Red Axes Essential mix:
Electonica/organica etc. is producing some uber cool results at the moment.
Forage for Flavour!
Back on the beach, tide not out. Never the less some Sea Beet leaves, Wild Fennel, three cornered garlic, and Pennywort were picked.
Most people in the UK. walk past some amazing free greens in the winter, straight to the supermarket. Plastic bags filled with gas to make the contents last longer.
With many of us poor, not so healthy and a planet that is looking similar. It’s a no brainer! What I picked is in abundance! I seriously needed the exercise! The end results of cooking are superb! Great flavour and lots of nutrients.
Sprout Bhajis
This is a work in progress. First try after reading about them in Manchester, via http://bundobust.com/ seriously cool food and drink. Amazingly I couldn’t taste the sprouts, in the ones I made, spice was nice though. Bhajis take longer to cook than I thought. I will cook them until they are darker next time. 180 degrees is what you want, a doughy interior is what you dont want. Other recipes call for shaping the mixture, not mine, I like the rough look, with crunchy exterior. My recipe was totally vegan. Seriously go eat at Bundobust.com Manchester or Leeds.
Acid Pauli/Nico Stojan, Burning Man, Robot Heart
Seriously cool

Goose recommends Goose Avoids
Recommended – Alchemist Manchester. The best range cocktails I have seen, Monkey Gin, lots of theatre. Great results.
Afflecks Palace Manchester- lots of cool things in this market
Wahaca– Good Food and Cocktails, nice vibe
Goose Dislikes “Presso”, seriously overpriced not very good. I’ve had better pizza from a supermarket. The calzone looked like something from Greggs.
“Nandos”, boring again supermarkets offer better.
Cool Music
https://twitter.com/nGoose1/status/917056968040374272 Low Chimes are very good and recommended by the amazing Lucy Rose. Lucy Rose UK tour coming up soon, don’t miss out, really good live. Tickets selling fast. Use good ingredients like the Italians do.
London/Blackpool/Lake District
Highlight of London was Gunpowder at Spitalfields what a find. Highlight of Blackpool was the company, plus the ice cream. Nice curry, but Gunpowder was still fixed in my mind. Highilight of the Lake district? All of it! Amazing scenery, it’s been so long. The best beer I have had since I was running a bar. Jennings served from Wateredge Inn was stunning! Big Thanks to the drivers and lovely hospitality as ever!
Bowness Lake District Fish and Chips really good another great find!
Streetfeast allways delivers, Winerama is a must! You Doughnut is also a must!
If you get the chance to eat in Shakeshack London, don’t! Its really gone down hill since my first visit, when it opened. Service is OK burger was not amazing. Fries were Cold, second batch given free were warm on top and cold below. I got a free concrete for my troubles, a mc Flurry is as good as possibly better?
YHA Bolsover Road was cool. Dover Street Apartments were excellent, basic clean cheap quiet, very good service. Premier Inn was again really good, don’t bother with the food though.
